-Description

Cellini is a dress line that focuses on elegance without using the oyster case, which is the biggest feature of Rolex.

The name "Cellini" comes from a person named Benvenuto Cellini, an Italian Renaissance sculptor in the 16th century.

The fact that this Cellini is the only one in the Rolex collection that bears the name of a specific person means that this Cellini stands in a unique position.

This reference 3807 is a tonneau-shaped case, which is rare for Cellini, and has a design that integrates even the lugs.

The case material is 18K white gold.

At first glance, the white gold case looks like a stainless steel case, but it has a luxurious feel with just the right amount of luster that is typical of gold.

A closer look reveals that the front is satin-brushed in a radial pattern from the centre, while the sides are polished. It is a dress watch with a subtle but fine attention to detail.

The dial is a silver dial with a sunray finish. Combination of standard baton hand and bar index.

The hands, indexes and crown logo are all made of white gold.

Only the Rolex and Cellini characters and the SWISS display at 6 o'clock are printed in black.

Although the watch has been manufactured for almost 50 years, there is no significant corrosion or staining. The watch is in good condition with only faint signs of ageing.

The movement is a hand-wound Cal.1601. It is an improved version of Rolex's thinner Cal.1600 movement, which was used from around 1977 until the early 1990s.

It is a robust and highly maintainable movement.

The watch comes with Rolex signed steel pin buckle.
