1955年に誕生した「インヂュニア」はパイロットウォッチ マークXI(11)を民生用へと改良したものでした。

【Description / English】

The Ingenieur was the civilian version of the Mark XI (11) pilot's watch, created in 1955.
Equipped with a self-winding movement and a soft-iron inner case, the Ingenieur was characterized by high levels of protection against magnetic fields, shock and water resistance.
This watch was introduced in 1993 and was produced until 2000. The design of this watch stands out for its luxury sports to feel.
The reason for this is that the watch was designed by Gerald Genta.
Gerald Genta designed the Nautilus for Patek Philippe, the Royal Oak for Audemars Piguet and the Yacht Club for IWC, and was a major influence on watch design in the years to come.
Today, vintage Nautilus and Royal Oak watches are very expensive and hard to come by, but I feel the Ingenieur has not yet received the attention it deserves.
The lines of the case, lugs and bracelet are fluid and very refined, despite the simple design without a crown guard.
The glossy black dial, gold markers and pencil hands are also a luxurious combination.
At 34mm, the case size is a bit small, but I think it looks a bit larger on the wrist.
Because one of these size feelings is very few in the watch of such a design, it is a valuable model in that sense.
The movement is equipped with the machine based on Cal.889/2 of Jaeger-Le Coultre .
This movement is used for Master Control for Jaeger-LeCoultre and Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak and Vacheron Constantin for their Patrimony. A highly appreciated movement.
Protected by a soft-iron inner case, it can be used without worrying about the shocks of daily use.
It comes with an international warranty (with domestic purchase markings) and a chronometer certificate.
It is currently for about 16.5 cm around the wrist, but it can be used for up to 18 cm because it has two extra links.
